Cash rent bids are solicited for approximately 159.75 acres of farm ground at the Whiteside County Airport, Montmorency Township, Rock Falls, Illinois. Bids are sought for a three (3) year term commencing March 1, 2020.
The terms are cash, payable in full, on March 1 at the start of each lease year; the lease year should be from March 1 through the last day of February each year. A portion of the leased premises must be planted in soybeans and other low growing crops near the runways and taxiways. A farming plat is available at the office of the Airport Manager at the Whiteside County Airport, 10950 Hoover Road, Rock Falls, Illinois 61071, on each weekday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The farm plat shows the size of the various fields and which fields must be planted in low crops and which can be planted in high or low crops.
The bids shall be in writing, sealed and delivered to Darin Heffelfinger, Airport Manager, Whiteside County Airport at the Airport Terminal Building, 10950 Hoover Road, Rock Falls, Illinois 61071. The bids must be signed and delivered on or before September 12, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Faxed or emailed bids will not be acceptable and will not be effective.
The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the regular meeting of the Whiteside County Airport Board, scheduled for September 12, 2019 at the Whiteside County Airport Terminal Building, Rock Falls, Illinois.
The Whiteside County Airport Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any formalities, irregularities or other requirements in the bidding, when such action will serve the best action of the Whiteside County Airport Board. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the Whiteside County Board.
