About the event

The Whiteside County Airport, in cooperation with airport-based businesses and organizations, are hosting an Aviation Career Day and Airport Open House on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM in HANGAR C and portions of the East and South Ramp.  The Aviation Career Day will feature exhibitors from area aviation businesses, corporate flight departments, aircraft charter, an air ambulance helicopter, regional airlines, air traffic control facilities, military recruitment, community colleges, colleges, and universities.  The Air Line Pilots Association will give a presentation on becoming an airline pilot and will be followed up by a Q&A session. 

The purpose of this Aviation Career Day is to inspire the next generation of aviation industry professionals from air traffic controllers to pilots to mechanics and beyond.  There is no fee for registration, or for attending the event.  This event is completely FREE!  The Aviation Career Day and Airport Open House is open to the public.  Come on out to the Whiteside County Airport for a day of aviation education and fun!

There is not a specific dress code for this event.  Casual attire is fine for attendees.  We encourage exhibitors to appear in company uniforms or business casual.  Thank you!
